How Commercial Truck Pickup Works
Once you accept an offer from Kelly Truck Buyers, pickup is arranged at your location, anywhere in the lower 48. A driver or transport is dispatched, the paperwork is verified on-site, and you are paid when the truck is collected. You are not delivering anything or waiting for a payment to clear afterward. Here is how the whole thing runs.
Step by step
- You describe the truck and receive a firm offer, usually the same day
- You accept, and a pickup time and place are scheduled around you
- Transport comes to the truck, including a tow for anything that will not roll
- Paperwork is checked and finalized at the truck
- You are paid at pickup, and the truck is hauled away
Do I have to deliver the truck?
No. Pickup happens where the truck already is, whether that is your yard, a shop, a terminal, or the side lot where it has been parked. That is part of the point of selling direct.
Non-running, wrecked, or long-parked trucks
If the truck will not start or cannot be driven, towing and heavy-haul are arranged as part of the pickup. You do not need to get it running or move it onto a trailer yourself. Just tell them the condition and where it sits.
What to have ready
Have the title and any lien release on hand, along with keys and access to the truck. If it is a company truck, have whoever is authorized to sign available. That keeps the pickup quick and the payment straightforward.
